Need some good news to kick off the new year? Check out Sam Bentley’s hopeful Good News of 2024 video wrap up. Fast-talking Bentley packs in updates on everything from elephant numbers stabilising in Africa and even growing in some countries and new bans on bottom trawling the world’s oceans to the establishment of Australia’s massive new marine sanctuaries near Antarctica and the world’s first global conference to end violence against children was held in Columbia.

British-based Bentley produces monthly good news videos and uploads them to YouTube for free viewing. He includes information from friends and experts with news from their parts of the world. Together their stories help counter social media doom scrolling with positive news happening right now around the world that you may not hear from mainstream media outlets. His 2024 annual wrap up is full of fantastic stories from India and Peru to the US and Australia.

Our favourite out of dozens is one about an Australian company, Mobile Crisis Construction, that is helping war-torn Ukraine rebuild by making Lego-like bricks out of bombed building rubble that is now found in the locations bombed over the last two years by Russia.

Inspiring viewing!
