Join us in Sydney for a Conversation about Economic and Political Inequity, and how we can Remove Barriers
The Australian Democracy Network (ADN), an organisation supported by the Ethinvest Foundation, is hosting an important discussion – The Democratic Divide -- about the growing challenges faced by Australians living with economic inequity in our society.
Ethinvest will be MCing the event on Tuesday, 28 May, 4:30pm for a 5pm start in Darlinghurst, Sydney, with expert speakers Saffron Zomer, ADN’s executive Director, Pastor Jon Owen of the Wayside Chapel and Cassandra Goldie, CEO of the Australian Council of Social Services (ACOSS).
The discussion will focus on the relationship between economic and political inequality whether through generations locked out of housing, people seeking asylum, or communities experiencing harm from gambling and alcohol, those experiencing the increasing gulf of economic challenges are not seeing policy decisions made in their interests. Our three experts will explore the impact this is having in Australia and how we might remove barriers to democratic participation for communities who have less political – and economic – power.
Tickets are limited but we hope our Sydney clients and friends can join us there! Click here to secure yours.
