Philanthropy's role in decarbonising Australia with Peter Winneke and Climateworks’ Anna Skarbek

Join the Climateworks Centre for a free, online webinar with philanthropic adviser and author of Give While You Live, Peter Winneke, in conversation with Climateworks Centre's CEO Anna Skarbek on Thursday 19 September at 11am-12pm AEST. The webinar will explore how philanthropists can drive impactful climate solutions through strategic giving.

Peter Winneke’s recent book Give While You Live shines a light on giving to maximise impact and how it can enhance your purpose and legacy. This clear and constructive book, part memoir, part practical guide, highlights the joy of giving, considers how much wealth is enough and how much to leave to the kids, and looks at reforms that would lead to more and better giving in Australia. With 20 years of experience in the philanthropic sector, Winneke’s book highlights 35 useful giving case studies.

Anna Skarbeck, who last year was appointed to the Advisory Board of the Australian government’s Net Zero Economy Agency, has led Climateworks as CEO since its creation in 2009. A former banker and green policy advisory, Anna has established the organisation as a leader in developing emissions reductions opportunities and partnering with business and government to unblock barriers to their implementation.

To register for the webinar please email Climateworks Centre’s Development Manager Claire Beynon at claire.beynon@climateworkscentre.org.
